What’s something memorable that you’ve taken away from one of your clients?
You can always add more – women don’t always want makeup to change the way they look but they usually want to feel their best.
What’s the best beauty advice you’ve ever received?
I always remember my mother telling me to take care of my skin, she engrained in me that I should never touch my face unless hands were recently washed, ALWAYS take off all of your makeup before bed. Whenever I come home and I am out late she leaves a bottle of makeup remover and cotton next to my bed.
What’s the most valuable thing you’ve learned from your job?
My work as a make-up artist has taught me patience. If you work hard and stay positive, great things will happen.
Looking back, what advice would you give to the freshly arrived version of you?
Don’t take things personally and speak your mind.
